Mount Whitney

Here's our view of Mt. Whitney this past week. The highest point in the continental US, it's best viewed at sunrise as seen here, unless there's some spectacular weather event occuring later in the day. I hiked the treacherous trail to the top in 1992. If I can track down the image of me on the summit, I'll post it here!


Hey! Here they are, circa 1992... Here's myself and my cousin at Trail Crest. We actually went up the backside of the mountain, entering near Independence, CA, then came down the front side. There are intrepid souls that will go up and down the face in one day. I am not one of those crazy people! ;-)
